Former Griffith standouts Derek Hitt and Eric Ritter start on offense for Illinois Benedictine, which pounded Marantha Baptist 44-0 in its last outing.
Hitt connected on seven of nine passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns. The freshman quarterback upped his season passing total to 682 yards and four touchdowns. He has also rushed for two touchdowns.
Ritter has netted 114 yards in 34 carries. The sophomore fullback has also caught three passes, including a 57-yard bomb. He has scored two touchdowns. The two-year starter rushed for a season-high of 64 yards against North Park.
